The Seven of Cups Tarot Card in the Tarot of Oppositions dives deep into the reflection of our Psyche when we are in our most vulnerable states, our moments to be connected with our most profound presence, in between the sheets, one with the soul. From waking state to asleep, we truly connect to all that we have hidden in our unconscious, whether that be our fears, stresses, traumas, phobias, guilt, shame, or innermost desires, fantasies, wants, needs, wishes, and Love.
The Routine ends, and another day has passed as we lay our heads on our sheets. Voices, loud as tinnitus, in the dark, they haunt us, creating dialogues; beyond reason, they give us the creeps. Tormented by sounds stemming from neurotic fears and inner turbulence, we refuse to face our shadow. The skin is itchy; there must be something in our beds crawling up our skin, keeping us awake. We slowly start to fall asleep, and external stimuli and inner trauma sync, spasming us awake, how we hate this state and how we wish we could sleep.
“Finally, I fall, and I begin to dream, and my deepest fears are embedded in my soul. Oh, how we wish it would end; these memories are not who I am.”
Wake up and reset. Repeat after us: This is not who we are; let’s face this Shadow and Rise, try and fall back asleep.
Love, Love, that’s all we need. Clean our sheets, fluff our pillows, and remind ourselves that these demons are no longer what we seek. In peace and quiet, we fall into a deep sleep and reach that void of emptiness, healing our souls and bodies undisturbed. How sweet.
Waking up in a familiar place, shining, our fantasies are real, and our dreams are taking place. Our wishes and desires are here, fully aware of what is to come, what is possible, and what is true to our hearts. Take a look around; it feels right, doesn’t it? Oh, we are awake in our dreams, aware of this Love so healthy it cannot shatter. Let’s take a break, reset, and float in this lucid state forever and ever, as well as imagine and dream up the best life; it is here, so to speak.
“What a beautiful illusion I hope to never wake, a dangerous delusion, a hallucination I hope is never fake.”
